In 1998, Agfa-Gevaert announced a joint venture with Iomega to market Clik! drives in digital imaging products. Agfa at the time announced that they were proud to be the first company to incorporate a Clik! drive in a digital camera. The CL30 Clik! therefore was indeed the first digital camera with such a drive. Announced on 1999-09-22. Prior to being marketed, Agfa already gave away free Clik! drives with every ePhoto 1680 sold to promote the new technology. In the pictures you can see the original set plus the infamous PocketZip disc.

The ePhoto CL30 Clik! featured both an optical viewfinder and 1.8" color LCD screen. The LCD screen featured an "on" and "off" switch, so the user could extend the batteries life. All camera settings on the camera could be accessed using the EasyPilot™ button, a multi-function control that worked like a computer mouse.

Agfa also announced that they were confident that the Clik! drive was going to be the standard memory storage format for digital imaging products in the future. They were totally convinced that it would leave every other memory card format behind. How wrong they were. It turned out to be one of the biggest failures in marketing and it instantly turned to vaporware after a few marketed products.
