Canon PowerShot 30 (1996)

The Canon PowerShot 30 seemed like the successor of the CE300. The PS 30 was launched towards the end of 1996. Marketed as "the camera that brings multimedia to notebook computers". The camera head now rotated 270° instead of 180,° the resolution was raised to VGA quality (but the CCD was still the same as in the CE300!) and images could be saved to 4 different file types. Apart from that the specs were exactly the same ones as in the CE300. The PS 30 could be used in any laptop running on Windows 95, so maybe this camera was intended for a wider audience outside of Japan.
