Casio QV-70 (1997)
Because the Casio QV-10A reached end of life, Casio thought of a new small compact digital camera and announced the QV-70 on 1997-08-21. Simply to satisfy the demand for a small carry-around lightweight digital camera. This was the first camera in the QV-series that did not feature the infamous swivel lens and had an optical viewfinder! The camera was stuffed with rather simple features to keep the price down. A novelty was the possibility to turn the LCD screen off with a single button. The camera also allowed bi-directional communication with a personal computer. It was way smaller too! Approx. 67% the size of the QV-10/QV-11.
