Kodak DCS 560 (1998)
The camera was launched at PMA 1998 and identical to the Canon EOS D6000. It was the first compact DSLR as both the 35mm SLR and the digital back were "melted into one". Canon provided the EOS 1N body and Kodak the electronics. The camera became a best seller with outstanding picture quality. The camera contained an APS-H CCD sensor with 6.1MP and with the newest firmware even allowed for complex custom functions. As a treat Kodak incorporated a mini version of the classic Pong game so reporters could pass some time when they were not shooting. The camera was marketed in a color and monochrome version!
