Kodak EOS DCS 1 (1995)
The Kodak EOS DSC 1 was basically the same camera as the EOS DSC 3 but with a 6MP APS-H sensor and was introduced in December 1995. It supported a two image burst 16MB DRAM buffer memory. The camera was ready to shoot within 0.25 seconds after the shutter button was pressed. Keeping the shutter button pressed after the first image would allow the second image to be taken after only 1.6 seconds, after that it would record images in 8 second intervals. It was available or at least built in three different versions:
C for Color
IR for Infra-red
M for Monochrome
Of all the three EOS DCS models this was the camera with the highest resolution but also with the lowest battery performance. The battery had only 10-15% capacity of the ones used in the EOS DCS 3 and 5. Canon also sold this model together with the DCS 3. Some 1,000 models have been produced.
