Panasonic NV-DCF50 (1998)

The Panasonic NV-DCF50 was a short lived digital camera, announced and marketed in Japan in 1998. Like it's predecessors it too featured a docking station and removeable flash unit. The camera was sold as a system set which meant that one could take images, play them back, utilize and print them. The camera was compatible with the Panasonic NV-MPX300C printer. The system could also be hooked up to a computer and TV set.
 
Some features of the camera were multi-shot continuous shooting at 0.3 second intervals, wide and zoom shooting, multi-playback functions,  manual exposure correction and two step macro shooting with a focal length of about 27 and 14cm. An optional PC connection kit with dedicated software was also available for an extra $80! Yeah, shooting digital was expensive back then.
 
For the steep list price of $750 one would get the camera, the docking station, the flash unit, a charger, an exclusive battery pack, 8MB compact flash card and a soft case.
