Panasonic PV-SD4090 (1999)

The Panasonic PV-SD4090 came with a novelty feature, the SuperDisk! You can read all about it in the memory card section. Of course one did not have to buy expensive SuperDisks, a regular 3.5" Floppy Diskette could also be used. The camera had a feature called Burst Mode, that means that the camera could take up to 16 pictures in 0.5 second intervals while the shutter button was pressed. Quick time movie clips could also be made with audio recording. It was not a pocket sized due to the fact that the camera had to swallow a 3.5" disk. Despite being twice as expensive as the smaller PV-DC2090 it still had the same CCD with 1.3MP and the same lens. Panasonic announced and demonstrated a successor, the black PV-SD5000, but never marketed it.
