Samsung SDC-80 (1999)
The Samsung SDC-80 was first shown in a brochure at the IFA '99 in Germany and then at the MACWORLD Expo 2000 and Comdex Fall 2000. This was the first digital camera of Samsung's upcoming N•E•X•C•A series. NEXCA stood for Next Generation Digital Camera. Completely inspired by the then so popular transparent Macintosh computers. Kodak hit the same vein with their Kodak DC240i editions by the way.
The translucent colors were adopted from the four seasons. Green, Blue, Orange and White (spring, summer, autumn and winter). Another cute gadget was the external flash unit which could simply be plugged in when needed.
