Epson PhotoPC 600 (1997)

The Epson PhotoPC 600 was a whole new model with higher resolution, built-in LCD screen, video output and memory card slot for (strange but true) Compact Flash cards (remember, the weird PhotoPC 550 has a SmartMedia card slot!). The camera was demonstrated at the IFA 1997 in Berlin. The camera was pretty versatile and had a few nice features. It came bundled with four rechargeable batteries and a charger, the bundled software allowed to create presentation slides from the taken photos that could be uploaded to the camera. So by hooking the camera up to a TV or projector, the presentation slides could be viewed. It was also possible to directly print the images on a Epson Stylus printer without the use of a computer (for this the optional Epson DirectPrint kit was needed though).
