Fujix DS-505 (1995)

Fujifilm launched the DS-505 in february of 1995. A professional digital high-performance camera made in cooperation with Nikon and based on a Nikon F4 model. Nikon launched the same model as the E2. The world's first DSLR to actually achieve full angle of view. An ISO of 1600, real-time JPEG compression, TTL flash control and a variety of manual and automatic settings.

For medical and scientific purposes a special microscopic adapter could be used to insert slides although I have never seen one. Fujifilm also announced a digital image processor called DI-500 and DI-500D to be used with this model but there is no further information available. In the picture series above you can see a pre-launch model of Fujifilm that was used for internal testing and thus contains no serial number. Regrettably I sold this model a few years ago.
