I/O MagicImage 500 (1999)
The I/O Magic MagicImage 500 digital camera was basically the same as the 420 model but had a better CCD and a higher resolution. It also could handle SmartMedia cards from 4MB - 32MB. The native resolution was 1024x768 but could be 'enhanced' to 1280x960. The name of the model is slightly irritating because by the unwritten law of early digital cameras this model should be called MagicImage 800 because of the 0.8MP CCD.
Now here are some interesting marketing slogans from their website:
- captures vivid images using the latest digital technology
- has Macro Mode for crystal clear close-up pictures
- The MagicImage 500 is perfect for beginners and professionals
- whether you take family photos or design your own website, this camera is a perfect fit
