Nikon Coolpix 700 (1999)
The Nikon Coolpix 700 and Nikon Coolpix 950 were announced around the same time, 1999-02-15. The Coolpix 700 had some interesting features. For instance it could a capture an image in only 2 seconds after the camera was powered on. Another new feature was the so called Best Shot Selector which would pick the sharpest image out of 10 continuous images. Both the 700 and 950 could share the same optional accessoires.
