Olympus C-830L (1999)

When this camera was announced on 1999-01-02, it was the entry level digital camera from Olympus. Another one in a wide range of early digital cameras marketed by Olympus. The US name for this model was D-340R. This is what Olympus had to say about the camera "Compact digital camera innovation with impressive picture quality featuring 1.31 million pixels, enhanced processing software, non-compress SHQ mode and new D-TFD display". Okay, the non-compression made was pretty useful as it stored the images virtually losless to the memory card, resulting in an almost 4MB file. Not bad for an entry level camera.
