Chinon SVC Prototype (1986)

Chinon SVC Prototype (1986)

We all know Chinon demonstrated their digital back for the CP9-AF in 1988. Most believe that this is Chinon's first contribution to the still video market. It wasn't. According to John Larish's book Electronic Photography, Chinon already demonstrated a still video camera in 1986. Intended for consumer photography with zoom lens and multi-beam autofocus. This is also reported by several magazines like Popular Mechanics and Popular Photography. Unfortunately they all lack details and pictures of this prototype.

Any information about this still video camera prototype is welcome!
