Nikon SVC Model 1-A Prototype (1986)

The Nikon Still Video Camera prototype, shown at the Photokina '86 and after that at the PMA '87. The SVC is not entirely Nikon made but with assistance of Panasonic, this was because Nikon lacked electronic signal video processing skills. The Nikon SVC came with a viewing unit, similar to that of the Fujix ES-1. The camera had all the features of regular SVC prototypes of that time. One thing was different though. Nikon promised that older Nikon lenses could be used with the SVC by using an adaptor. Apparently the prototype was referred to as the Model 1-A.
