Sony ProMavica MVC-7000 (1992)

The last Sony still video camera to hit the market and the most sophisticated one. Equipped with three HyperHAD interline transfer CCD's, ID recording, built-in playback system, flexible exposure control system, various lenses and adaptors, precise metering system and so forth. It was a very, very large and heavy camera 2.5 kg fully equipped. Not exactly something to carry around for hours on a holiday trip. Also very expensive, you could actually buy 9 digital cameras (Dycam Model I or Logitech Fotoman) back then for the price of one MVC-7000!

There is a great website with lots of details and information about this last Sony Still Video Camera: Old Camera Junk
