Leica Digilux Zoom (1999)
Manufactured by Fuji. The Leica Digilux Zoom was the second consumer digital camera from Leica and the third digital camera product in total. Based on a modified Fuji MX-1700 body the camera was technically identical. One thing Leica sold along with the Digilux Zoom was a Leica own product called Digicopy. A tube that could be placed in front of the camera to copy negatives. Something the Olympus C-2500L also had in it's portfolio. Since the Digilux Zoom was an OEM product, the Digicopy could also be used with the Fuji MX-1700. To support the sale of this camera, Leica opened a special hotline for this camera type and offered seminars and user guidance. Unfortunately some sellers think that because of the Leica logo and it's advanced age that it is a valuable camera. It is not.
