Olympus C-820L (1997)
The Olympus C-820L was the successor of the Olympus C-800L and announced on 1997-06-19, together with the Olympus C-420L. According to Olympus they both were the world's first two digital cameras with function mode. The US model name was D-320L. The internal memory was scrapped and the camera now had the possibility to store images on Smart Media cards. It was smaller and a little bit lighter then it's predecessor. The C-820L was the smallest and lightest in it's class at that time. The body was champagne colored whereas the C-420L was silver colored. Apart from that the only difference was that the C-420L only had a VGA sensor.
