DIGITRA n.cam MP3 camera (1999)

DIGITRA, a korean manufacturer, also demonstrated a stylish, cheap digital camera with MP3 functionality at the Comdex Fall 2000. A small and simple digital camera with a CMOS sensor with VGA resolution, USB connectivity and MP3 playback. It could also be hooked up to a PC and used as a webcam. Nothing new and nothing fancy but the camera still wasn't marketed. It's alleged price would be under $200 though. The camera was an extrem light weight with only 75 gr. and featured the following:

- one shot and continuous shots
- 10 - 15 frames / second (VGA)
- 30 frames / seconds (QVGA)
- 24 bit true color
- gamma correction
- auto white balance

Despite the camera being a total toy and having nothing to show for, it still consumed 4x AAA batteries. On the other hand it could be operated through USB power when connected to a PC.

Although DIGITRA did feature the camera on their website as the "Digital Dual Camera", there is still no proof it was ever sold.
