MOS VSCC (1989)

The MOS VSCC (Video Still Combined Camera System) was a hybrid film/video system developed by 'MOS' (MARINE OPTICAL SYSTEMS INC., a subsidiary of NAKAJIMA & COMPANY, INC.), in collaboration with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory Ocean Development Department, for deep sea exploration to depths of 3000 meters. The still camera was usually a 35mm SLR camera body with exchangeable pentagonal prism finder. The built-in TV camera head consisted of 3 groups and 9 lenses including field lenses. The TV image ratio was 1:1
