At the MacWorld Expo 1998 in Tokyo one could take a glimpse at a special gold version of the Panasonic PV-DC1000 (New Coolshot II LK-RQ35ZZ in Japan). In reference to the "Nagano Olympic gold medal Memorial", Panasonic built and demonstrated the New Coolshot II with a gold body. The camera however was not for sale.
