Philips ESP-2 prototype (1997)

Just when you think you've seen it all. Shown at the PMA 1997. Philips came along and showcased a prototype of what was to become the Philips ESP-2 digital camera. I don't know whether Ricoh also had a prototype available as this is an OEM product. You can clearly see the Philips brand name under the wrist strap. Also the body color is black whereas the marketed version is silver. Also a very remarkable difference is that the controls are on top of the camera, the spot where the display is in the marketed version.
