Canon RC-760 (1988)
The Canon RC-760 was shown at the CES and marketed in February of 1988. It was the follow-up of the RC-701 and the first still video camera to sport a higher resolution than 0.38MP. The camera could record up to 10 frames per second and had a more silent disk drive. SV lenses could be used and with an FD adapter even Canon FD lenses. The RC-701 only recorded in field mode, the RC-760 in both modes. Again, not intended for the consumer but for press and professionals.
The RC-760 had a so-called SuperCCD sporting one of the largest resolutions available among still video cameras. The following lenses were available for this camera and could be used with the RC-701 as well:
SV 50-150mm F2.8
SV 11-66mm F1.2
SV 6mm F1.8 L
SV 13-52mm F1.8
