Fujifilm MX-2900 Zoom (1999)

Announced by Fuji on 1999-05-18. This time the camera was not a vertical design. The camera now featured a hot shoe, aperture priority, uncompressed shooting mode, magnesium alloy body, best framing function and more advanced features. One of them being the Map Viewer function (jointly developed by Pioneer Corporation). This feature would take the image of the digital camera and links map information and makes it possible to utilize on a personal computer or car navigation system. Yeah, high tech in those days and thus aimed at the consumers demanding high end features from a digital camera.

The camera was called 'Finepix 2900Z' in Japan and 'MX-2900 Zoom' elsewhere.
