Nikon Coolpix 950 Millennium Edition (1999)

About six months after it's initial release Nikon re-reissued the 950 in a limited edition set called Nikon Coolpix 950 Millennium Edition. It was re-badged into a metallic blue/silver toned body with a serial number tag plate attached to it. The millennium set was limited to 2,000 units and consisted of a lot of goodies like for instance four lens filters, card reader, memory cards, ruggedized camera bag and certificate. It was sold online only through the Nikon outlet website. $500 of each sold camera was donated to a children's charity (tax deductable). Sale started 1999-11-08 and the 2,000 units were sold out in only 18 days!
