Sanyo VPC-X300 (1997)
The Sanyo VPC-X300, it's japanese equivalent was the Sanyo DSC-X1. Released 1997-11-01 and shown on the Electronics Show '97. It featured 3x digital zoom, built-in flash, voice memo function, status display, automatic playback with sound as a slideshow on TV sets, nine frame continuous shooting in two modes of 0.1 second interval and 0.2 seconds interval that could be sampled in to a small videoclip, optical viewfinder, macro mode and auto white balance. Production estimate was set at 5,000 units per month. This digital camera was nicknamed 'Maltese'.
