Vivitar Vivicam 2500 (1997)

The Vivitar Vivicam 2500 is yet another OEM-licensed digital camera Vivitar marketed. Shown at Comdex '97 and CES '98. The camera was cheap and the perfect response to the ever growing request for cheaper digital cameras. A basic point-and-shoot digital camera with all the necessary features for a low price.

Of course the camera did not appear with a big news announcement or press release. It just showed up like many Vivitar digitial cameras and also quickly dissappeared again as technology evolved. These are exactly the models that are hard to find and worth collecting.

Fixed focus, self-timer, built-in flash, LCD screen, macro function and video output. The camera was made by Premier Imaging Technology, a taiwanese manufacturer.
