Ricoh DC-10 (1992)
Ricoh showed this early prototype digital camera at the Photokina 1992. Not much information is available except that it used SRAM flash cards. The Richo DC-10 had a very slim camery body not much larger than a pack of cigarettes. It had (of course) no LCD screen and simplified controls. By using a 1:8 compression the camera could store up to 20 HQ images on the SRAM card and 40 images in normald mode by using 1:16 compression. Plans were for Ricoh to take a leading position in the digital still video system market. Along with the DC-10 Ricoh had plans to market it along with a media processor and a colour video printer.
