Ricoh DC-3G Limited Edition GUNDAM series (1998)
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular GUNDAM franchise, Ricoh re-badged a DC-3G digital camera from 1997. In 1998 the DC-3G was re-badged into three different versions, representing three different themes from the GUNDAM series. The limited edition digital camera series was unveiled at the WINDOWS WORLD Expo/Tokyo 99. The three themes were:
1. Earth Federation Space Force
2. Principality of Zeon - Zeon
3. Principality of Zeon - Char
Allegedly the cameras were available through special order only and weren't sold in retail stores. Rumour has it that only 1,000 units of each camera version were produced. All cameras came in a custom made package with a collector's digital camera abg on top. The camerabag had a gold plaque that read "since 1979 Gundam - 20th anniversary Gundam bigbang project". The cameras themselves were available in black, red and silver. All had big metal stickers on top (according to the theme) and different modell names.
